Google Lighthouse analysis Google’s completely free, open-source, and automated website audit & monitoring tool. It can help your eCommerce businesses or any other websites track site load times, SEO, accessibility, best practices, PWA, and search engine optimization.

What is the Pagespeed Performance Score?

Pagespeed is the amount of time it takes for a website page to load. And performance measures how fast a website loads. The Lighthouse returns a score between 0 and 100. 0 is the lowest score, 100 is the best score. So your goal should be to reach 80 – 100.

How to make in 3 steps Lighthouse analysis on Google Chrome Browser?

  1. Open Google Chrome Web Browser. And go to the site you want to analyze.
  2. Click on the Chrome menu at the top right > More Tools > Developer Tools
  3. Select the Lighthouse tab.

And after these steps, you should see Lighthouse tool like the picture below.

You can start the analysis process by clicking the Generate report after making the adjustments you want. And this process may take a few minutes.

After the analysis process is completed, you can see all the metrics. And you can review the details of the Lighthouse’s five different metrics.

If you want, you can also do same test on web.dev/measure.

Note: If any extensions are installed on Chrome, it is recommended to do all these processes from the private browser. Because extensions can negatively affect the Lighthouse analysis score and your score may look different from what it should be.
