ScrepyDocs

MCP Tool Reference

Discover all Screpy MCP tools for projects, crawls, rankings, AI Visibility, backlinks, disavows, and Search Console.

Screpy MCP exposes the tools below to an authorized AI client. Follow setup and OAuth authentication before using them. REST API keys do not authenticate MCP.

Select accessible data first

Call list_projects before using a project, then pass its project_uid. For crawl data, call list_crawls and keep the returned crawl_uid with that same project. Use IDs, domains, and hashes returned by tools instead of constructing them.

Responses include context, data, pagination, and warnings. When a result includes next_cursor, pass it as cursor with the same selectors and limit to continue. Each client's tool schema lists the exact required and optional arguments. Project access and plan eligibility are checked on every call.

Only request a write when you intend to change your project. Tools with a confirm argument require explicit confirmation of that exact action before confirm=true is sent. Additions may consume plan allowances; deletions may remove stored history.

Account

Related REST reference: Account.

ToolPurpose

inspect_search_console_urlInspect one URL under the selected Search Console property using the version in Google index, not a live URL test.
get_index_status_auditRead the latest existing Screpy crawl-based Index Status audit for one project. Does not start an audit.
list_index_status_urlsList inspected URLs from the latest existing Index Status audit, with index, coverage, and URL filters.

list_rank_tracker_keywordsList Rank Tracker keywords with device, search, segment, unmatched, sorting, and cursor filters.
get_rank_tracker_keywordGet one Rank Tracker keyword with up to 30 analyses and stored results for the selected or latest analysis.
add_rank_tracker_keywordsAdd up to 100 Rank Tracker keywords for mobile, desktop, or both. Requires explicit confirmation because it consumes plan capacity and starts initial analysis.
delete_rank_tracker_keywordsDelete up to 100 project-scoped Rank Tracker keyword IDs, optionally including their matching device variants. Requires explicit confirmation.
list_rank_tracker_segmentsList Rank Tracker segments with match counts, suggestions, and unmatched keyword count.

Related REST reference: Backlinks and disavows.

ToolPurpose
get_backlink_optionsReturn eligible project and added competitor targets and supported backlink input options.
get_backlinks_overviewRead backlink profile summary, history, top anchors, referring domains, and linked pages for the project or an added competitor.
list_backlinksList backlinks with source and destination URLs, anchors, authority, risk, follow status, and dates. Use next_cursor with unchanged selectors.
list_referring_domainsList referring domains with authority, link counts, risk signals, and first-page summary.
list_referring_domain_backlinksRead one full source domain's live backlinks for an eligible target, or lost/broken backlinks for the project domain.
get_backlink_gapCompare the project with one added competitor. Return domains linking to the competitor but not the project, plus comparison history.
list_lost_backlink_domainsList source domains with lost backlinks to the project. Read individual links with list_referring_domain_backlinks and status lost.
list_broken_backlink_domainsList source domains with broken backlinks to the project. Read individual links with list_referring_domain_backlinks and status broken.
list_disavowsRead the selected project's disavow entries, notes, dates, totals, and continuation cursor.
add_disavowsAdd up to 100 domains or URLs to the project's disavow export list with an optional note. Requires explicit confirmation. Does not submit to Google.
delete_disavowRemove one project-scoped disavow entry from the export list. Requires explicit confirmation. Does not submit to Google.
export_disavowsReturn an authenticated resource link to a Google-compatible disavow text page. Follow next_cursor and concatenate all pages to obtain the complete file.
export_backlink_tableExport the current page of one backlink analysis or disavow table as CSV or XLSX. Return an authenticated resource link and next_cursor, never silently export the full dataset.
  1. Call list_projects and select the project's UID.
  2. Call get_backlink_options with that project_uid to retrieve eligible targets and competitor IDs.
  3. Call list_backlinks with the same project_uid and a target domain returned by options. Use get_backlinks_overview for the profile or list_referring_domains for source domains.
  4. Continue through next_cursor without changing the target or other selectors.

To research a new domain, add it as a competitor to the project in the dashboard first. An arbitrary domain is not accepted. target is the domain being researched; domain on list_referring_domain_backlinks is a full referring domain returned by a source list.

get_backlink_gap compares the project with one added competitor_id. Lost and broken analyses use only the project's domain. The source-domain detail tool accepts status values live, lost, or broken; the last two are restricted to the project. See the Backlinks API workflow and Backlinks dashboard guide.

export_backlink_table returns an authenticated resource link to one page of CSV or XLSX data. Keep the dataset and selectors unchanged when continuing with next_cursor. export_disavows also exports one page at a time; concatenate the text pages for a complete list. Resources recheck project access and feature eligibility when read.

add_disavows and delete_disavow require confirmation and change only the project's export list. They do not submit anything to Google. Review the Disavow guide before changing entries. The REST disavow text export downloads the complete project list in one request.

Understand feature-specific limits

  • Rank Tracker: keyword details include up to 30 history records and the selected or latest stored results. Use the REST history endpoints to paginate through the full history. MCP does not provide ranking file export, live searches, or manual reanalysis.
  • AI Visibility: tools read stored results and manage prompts. get_ai_visibility_prompt_activity uses activity set to answers or citations. get_ai_visibility_source_activity uses source_type set to domain or url, the returned domain or page URL hash as source_value, and activity set to citations or prompts. File export, prompt suggestions, and manual reanalysis are not available. Use update_project_settings for frequency or engine selection.
  • Search Console: call get_search_console_connection first. Performance rows may omit lower-volume queries or pages. URL inspection describes Google's indexed version, not a live test or indexing request.
  • Index Status: tools read the latest existing audit; they do not start or refresh one.

Continue with example prompts or troubleshooting. The REST API reference documents HTTP integrations separately.
