Step-by-step guide to connect Screpy MCP to Claude on the web or desktop.
Use this guide to connect Screpy to Claude through remote MCP connector support. Your Claude plan or workspace must allow custom connectors.
Use OAuth, not an API key
A Screpy REST API key cannot authenticate a Claude MCP connection.
Connect Screpy MCP to Claude
Open Claude connectors
Open Claude's Settings or Customize area, then choose Connectors.
Add a custom remote MCP connector
Create a connector and enter the Screpy MCP server URL:

Choose the OAuth connection flow when Claude asks for authentication. Sign in to Screpy in your browser and approve access.
Enable Screpy in a new chat
After Claude confirms the connection, open a new chat and enable Screpy from the connector or tools menu.
Ask a small test question
Start with:
Use Screpy to show my active projects, then identify the crawl with the most urgent Quick Wins.
If tools are missing
Make sure Screpy is enabled for the current chat, then reconnect the connector if OAuth was cancelled or completed with another account. See Troubleshooting for missing projects and unavailable tools.
