AI Heading Generator

Create five H1, H2 or H3 alternatives from your topic. Choose a tone, add parent context and copy the headings that fit your page.

Options

An AI heading generator turns a topic into alternative headings for a page or section. Screpy gives you five suggestions at the H1, H2 or H3 level you choose. Use it when the subject is clear but the wording is not: you need a visible page heading that describes the actual content, or a subheading that tells readers what the next section will answer.

The suggestions are writing drafts. They are not a ranked list, a complete article outline or evidence of what currently performs in Google.

Choose the heading level before generating

Decide where the text will appear before asking for alternatives. The same subject needs different wording at different depths.

Level What it introduces Example role
H1 The page's main subject A complete guide to indoor lemon-tree care
H2 A main part of that subject Watering an indoor lemon tree
H3 A subsection within that part Checking whether the soil needs water

These examples illustrate roles, not three headings produced in one run. Select H1 for page-level alternatives, H2 for a section or H3 for a more specific subsection. For the underlying structure, see MDN's heading element reference.

A heading's level describes its place in the document. Changing H3 to H2 simply because the font looks small changes that structure; adjust the visual style separately. If you need the entire page planned together, use the AI Content Outline Generator instead.

Give the AI heading generator a useful brief

Enter a topic or page summary of 2–500 characters. Describe the reader's task, the part of the subject you cover and any important boundary. “Gardening” leaves the purpose open. “A practical guide for apartment owners caring for an indoor lemon tree, covering watering and signs of overwatering” gives the generator a more useful direction.

Open Options to choose the level, one of 11 output languages and a professional, conversational or persuasive tone. An optional target keyword can be up to 100 characters. Tone should change the wording, not introduce a benefit or fact your page does not support.

H3 requires a parent heading of 2–180 characters. For the watering example, enter “Watering an indoor lemon tree” as the parent. H2 can use parent context, but does not require it; H1 does not accept a parent. Supply descriptive text rather than a URL: the generator does not read a page or retrieve search results.

Match a subheading to its parent

Consider a fictional article called “Indoor Lemon-Tree Care.” Under the H2 “Watering an Indoor Lemon Tree,” you want an H3 introducing a paragraph about checking soil moisture. A useful alternative could be “When Does the Soil Need Water?” It tells the reader what the subsection answers and stays inside the parent section.

“Choosing the Right Pot” may be relevant to the same article, but it belongs to a different part of the structure. “Everything You Need to Know About Lemon Trees” is broader than its parent. Neither is a strong fit for this specific position, even if the wording sounds polished.

This is an illustrative editing exercise, not recorded generator output. Apply the same check to your own five suggestions: read the parent and proposed subheading together, then read the paragraph that would follow. If they promise different things, revise the brief or edit the heading. A natural keyword match does not compensate for a mismatch in meaning.

Check the meaning before copying a heading

Choose the alternative that most clearly fits the existing content. Before keeping it, ask:

  • Does the next section actually answer this heading?
  • Is it specific enough to distinguish the section from its neighbors?
  • Does it introduce an unsupported number, result or guarantee?
  • Would it still read naturally without forcing in the target keyword?

For example, “Stop Overwatering Forever” promises more than a paragraph about checking moisture can establish. “Check Soil Moisture Before Watering” describes an action the section can explain. Do not keep a stronger claim just because it sounds more persuasive.

The five suggestions are alternatives, not positions on an SEO leaderboard. There is no universal 60-character heading requirement in this tool, and no suggestion comes with measured search demand or a ranking prediction. Google's title-link guidance also explains that the title shown in Search can draw on several page signals; a generated heading cannot guarantee that display. Keep the focus on an accurate promise to the reader.

Put the chosen heading into the right place

Copy one suggestion, select several to compare or copy the whole list. Copy Markdown adds the markers for the chosen heading level. The export preserves the alternatives; it does not decide which ones belong together. If you generated five H1 options, choose the one that fits your page rather than publishing all five as main titles.

In your editor, place the selected text in a heading block with the intended level. Pasting Markdown markers into an ordinary text field may leave them as visible characters. If your template already supplies the page heading, update that field rather than adding a competing heading in the article body. Inspect the published result with the Heading Structure Analyzer. For the separate HTML title element, use the AI SEO Title Generator.

A valid email is required to run the generator. Submitted form values and email are recorded with tool usage; the email is excluded from the AI prompt. Inputs are also saved in this browser and restored without automatically running the tool. Avoid confidential information, and review generated text before publishing it.

Frequently asked questions

Create five H1, H2 or H3 alternatives from your topic. Choose a tone, add parent context and copy the headings that fit your page.

Is this tool free?

Yes. A valid email is required to run it; request limits apply.

Why does H3 need a parent?

The parent heading tells the tool which subsection the H3 should develop. H1 mode does not accept parent context.

Can I generate a full outline?

This tool gives five alternatives at one level. The Outline Generator creates a complete H1–H3 structure with writing notes.

Is my input saved?

Form values stay in this browser and are recorded with your email in usage logs. Text is processed by AI; avoid confidential information.

Does it create HTML titles?

No. It creates visible page headings. Use the separate SEO Title Generator for the HTML title element.

Are the headings verified against Google?

No. They are AI drafts from your text, without live SERP research or ranking guarantees.
