Screpy’s AI meta description generator writes five alternatives from your page topic or summary. Use them to find a clear, accurate description for a specific page’s metadata, then choose and edit one for publication. The tool works from the text you supply, without opening your website or inspecting Google results. Its drafts and indicators help with editing; they are not measured SEO scores.
Tell the generator what this page actually covers
Enter 2–4,000 characters describing the page’s purpose, audience and real content. A topic can be short when its meaning is clear, but a specific summary gives the drafts a stronger basis. A bare URL is not accepted because the tool does not fetch pages. Paste relevant text instead.
For a first welcome-email guide, explain that the page covers the signup promise, message content and checks before sending. That is more useful than “email marketing”, which could describe a software comparison, a course or a campaign tutorial. Include only details the visitor will actually find on this page.
In Options, choose one of 11 languages, add an optional target keyword of up to 100 characters and select professional, conversational or persuasive wording. The tone changes presentation, not facts. If the subject is unclear, the tool may ask for more context rather than generating unrelated descriptions.
Compare the five drafts for accuracy and emphasis
The five descriptions are alternatives, not a predicted best-to-worst ranking. Compare what each one promises and which part of the page it emphasizes. A useful draft identifies the subject and gives a reader a concrete reason to visit without adding an unsupported result.
For that fictional welcome-email guide, consider this editing comparison. These are illustrative descriptions, not captured tool output or tested search snippets.
| Description | Editorial decision |
|---|---|
| Email marketing tips, email tools, email strategy, email success. | Too generic and repetitive to explain this page’s specific task. |
| Double your email revenue with our guaranteed welcome-email formula. | Reject unless those claims are genuinely supported; the example page does not establish them. |
| Plan a first welcome email with practical steps for signup promises, message content and pre-send checks. | Accurately describes the example page’s scope. |
Read each option against the page, not only against the keyword field. Remove invented prices, offers, credentials or statistics. A persuasive description can explain a supported reader benefit; it should not turn a practical guide into a guarantee. Distinct drafts within one response do not certify originality across the web.
Read character and keyword indicators correctly
The character counter measures Unicode code points, not pixels or necessarily the number of visible symbols. Some emoji and combined characters use more than one code point. The displayed count is useful for comparing drafts, but it is not a simulation of Google’s snippet width.
More than 160 characters triggers a review reminder, not a validation error. Google’s snippet guidance says there is no fixed meta-description length limit; search snippets are shortened as needed, typically to fit the device width. Put the most useful meaning early, then remove unnecessary words without cutting essential conditions simply to reach a number.
The keyword indicator checks literal wording after normalization. A missing match does not establish that a synonym is irrelevant, and a successful match does not prove the description is good. Do not repeat an awkward phrase or turn the summary into a keyword list to obtain a positive indicator. The tool does not measure search demand or semantic relevance.
Publish one page-specific description
Copy a single draft, selected descriptions or all five for review. In your CMS, put the final edited text in the page’s meta-description or search-description field. Do not paste all five alternatives there or add them as five competing description tags. If your editor manages the HTML metadata, use that setting rather than putting the description into the visible article body.
Make the text specific to the page and its language. Reusing the same generic description across unrelated pages hides their differences. For a matching search title, use the AI SEO Title Generator. After publication, the Meta Tag Analyzer can help inspect the description in the page’s HTML.
Google may use page content instead of your meta description and may show different snippets for different queries. A changed snippet is not, by itself, evidence that the tag was missing. Check the published metadata separately from the search appearance. This generator neither publishes the tag nor guarantees rankings or click-through improvements.
A valid email is required for each request. Form values and email are recorded with tool usage; email is excluded from the AI prompt. Inputs stay in this browser and are restored on return without automatically starting generation. Avoid confidential information.
